Prioritising sustainable food choices

Success story: HOME

HOME, an independent theatre, art gallery and cinema, part of the Greater Manchester Arts and Sustainability Team who are a member of the Manchester Climate Change Partnership, are demonstrating how venues can make more sustainable choices through food.

Their café and bar features seasonally available produce from regional North West suppliers, helping to reduce food miles and support local businesses. Most food is prepared from scratch on-site, with a large selection of plant-based and meat-free options on offer. Adhering to their Zero-to-Landfill policy, all in-house catering waste is composted, recycled, or converted into Waste-to-Energy biofuel.
