Leading the way in commercial building sustainability

Success story: Muse

Eden is a £36 million, 115,000 sq ft 12-storey workspace, developed by ECF (formerly The English Cities Fund), Muse’s joint venture with Legal & General and Homes England.

Designed to be net zero carbon in operation, Eden was ambitiously created to deliver the most sustainable commercial building possible.

Its sustainable features – including the use of reclaimed and recycled materials – have enabled Eden to achieve an upfront embodied carbon rate of 664kg CO2/m2 compared with over 1,000kgCO2/m2 for a typical office.

As the UK’s first workspace to secure a 5.5-star NABERS ‘Design Reviewed’ Target Rating, Eden is a ‘greenprint’ for the sector.
