Helping to green the city
Success story: Manchester City Council
Manchester Climate Change Partnership member, Manchester City Council, helped to plant over 10,000 trees between 2023 and 2024, part of a wider ambition of supporting Manchester to plant 64,000 new trees by 2050.
Not only does this help to green the city and increase Manchester’s resilience to climate change, but it also delivers wider health and wellbeing benefits to residents through providing improved access to greenspaces across the city.
